Mobile Home Park Application

Thank you for your interest in obtaining mobile home park license in the City of Bloomington!

This application should be used for businesses wanting to obtain a mobile home park license. Please be advised, that in order for a submission to be considered complete, the application must be completely filled out, all supplemental attachments submitted by either linking them to the submitted application or emailed to the City Clerk Department.

Description:
A mobile home is a structure, transportable in one or more sections, which, in the traveling mode, is eight body feet or more in width or 40 body feet or more in length, or, when erected on site, is 320 or more square feet, and which is built on a permanent chassis and designed to be used as a dwelling with or without permanent foundation when connected to the required utilities, and includes plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical systems contained therein.

Application Process:
  1. Submit a completed application with all required documentation.
  2. The application will then be reviewed by the following departments: City Clerk and Economic & Community Development.
  3. A City Clerk Department staff member will reach out to the billing email on the application with the result of the application review and, if approved, the initial license invoice.
Application Supplemental Documentation:
  • Application
  • List of Owners/Partners/Officers w/Name, Age, Address, & Percent Ownership/Stock
  • Proof DBA Registered w/Secretary of State of Illinois
  • Articles of Organization (LLC) / Articles of Incorporation (Corporation)
  • Premises Verification
  • Inspection Required: Economic & Community Development Department
  • A Detailed Site Plan that, at a minimum, includes the following information:
    • The area and dimensions of the tract of land;
    • The number, location and size of all manufactured home lots;
    • Location of required recreation area;
    • Location of any manufactured home park service buildings, storm shelters, and on-site office.
License Renewal Requirements
If approved, the licensee will be required to renew their license in order to operate and must supply the following Supplemental Documentation:
  • Affidavit of Renewal
  • Premises Verification (Updated Lease if current lease on file expired, if applicable)
  • Updated Site Plan (If changes were made to the original site plan.)
  • Inspection Required: Economic & Community Development Department
License Fees:
$200 Annual License Fee
$5 per each lot
